I was trying to refer F-Droid as an alternative to playstore. Immediately the user reverted back to me that there are security issues regarding third party apps as these are not authorised. Since he’s himself a store owner and customers arrived, our conversation broke off.
However, here’s my two cents to ponder upon and discuss : if the user is the first party and F-Droid is the third party, then who’s the second party ? In any case, if playstore is a store/repository, then there’s no basic difference between playstore, F-Droid, izzyondroid aurora stores. Neither of them create any app whatsoever.
Secondly, who authorises the apps ? Android ?? What is the function of Android in the smart phone ?? Assuming playstore to be an authority of apps, who gave this power to playstore to act as an authority for apps which we use/choose as a user ???
